Terms and Conditions
Hirer must be over 21. We do not accept single sex groups without prior arrangement or hen and stag parties.
Check In / Out
The hire period normally commences at 3pm daily and terminates at 10am on the agreed day for checkout. Earlier check in times may be arranged depending upon availability.
All you need to bring
All cooking items, crockery and cutlery are provided, Bed linen and towels are only included in the Lodges.
Don’t forget to bring towels, toilet rolls and toiletries. Any cots or Highchairs as these are not provided.
Please make a note on the booking form for any special requests and we will do our best to accommodate your needs where possible, in the event we are unable to do so we let you know upon processing your booking request or as soon as possible.
We are a dog friendly site, but unfortunately are unable to welcome any other pets. Not all of our accommodation is suitable for dogs; please advise us at point of booking so we allocate you a pet friendly Holiday Home or Lodge.
We do ask guests to ensure that dogs are not allowed on any seating or bedding.
Damage to upholstery or any other part of the Holiday Home or Lodge will result in a charge for repair.
We ask all dog owners to be responsible whilst on site and keep dogs on a lead and clean up behind them: there are bins allocated around the site and our team will be able to recommend local walks. We also ask that you do not leave your dog in the accommodation unaccompanied at any time.
£200 deposit is required upon booking; balance is due 6 weeks before commencement of hire. Holiday Hire (hire less than 28 days) includes gas and electric.
If hire exceeds 28 days then the £200 deposit will be retained and become a holding deposit and returned upon check out subject to the Holiday Home being in the same condition – with the exception of reasonable wear and tear. Full hire fees will be due 6 weeks before the commencement of hire. Gas and Electric is not included. Electric is operated by coin meter and gas is bottled to be paid on purchase, council tax is also charged to the tenant. In the event of the hire fees being less than £200 full balance must be paid upon booking.
If the booking takes place less than 6 weeks before commencement of hire, full payment will be required.
In the event of damage I also agree for Shaftesbury Luxury Lodges to take the appropriate amount to cover repairs.
No Smoking laws
It is now an offence for the Hirer to smoke, or allow anyone to smoke, in any of our Holiday Homes or Lodges and the signs displayed in each Holiday Home or Lodge make this clear. The Company has an obligation to all clients to maintain the caravan smoke-free and therefore, should the Hirer return a Holiday home or Lodge in which smoking has occurred
this will result in a deep clean/valet charge paid to cover the costs of taking the caravan out of service for fumigation or cleaning a minimum of £50.
Breakdowns & Accidents
In the event of a break down or accident the hirer is responsible informing the company.
The company will endeavour to make repairs within a reasonable timescale or offer alternative accommodation on site if available.
The Company can accept no liability for alternative accommodation charges or other claims arising from breakdown, accident or other causes.
All accidents should be reported immediately by telephone to (01747) 851497 or in person at the company office urgently. A completed Accident Report Form must be completed as soon as possible.
Parking is provided for one vehicle per Holiday Home or Lodge. Please park vehicles in allocated spaces as advised upon checking. Additional vehicles, large commercial vans, trailers or watercrafts may be permitted at the discretion of the general manager by prior arrangement only.
Limitations, Liabilities and Cancellations
Anti Social Behaviour – We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation, where unreasonable or anti social behaviour caused by the hirer or someone in their party impairs the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests or holiday park staff.
- Smoking is not permitted in the accommodation
- The use of candles or fireworks is not permitted
- The hirer must not lend or hire to a third party
- Use the accommodation for dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities or any act which may be nuisance or of annoyance to other residence or guests.
- We do not permit the use of steamers.
The Company reserves the right to:-
- Refuse a hire to any individual who is reasonably considered unsuitable to undertake the hire. In such circumstances the intended Hirer shall be entitled to request a refund of monies paid, which will not be unreasonably withheld by the Company.
- Inspect accommodation with reasonable notice, except in an emergency when immediate access must be granted
- Evict (without refund or compensation) if it is deemed necessary that by the company in the event of a serious breach of conditions, complaints received from other guests, residents or staff or if the hirer or one of his or her party endangers the safety of others.
As we are always improving our hire fleet please note that Holiday Homes and Lodge specifications, design, layouts and images used are as examples only and may differ from those supplied.
We are a rural holiday park and as so expect that our guests to be understanding in the event or water shortages, power cuts or any other disruption outside of the parks control.
We also ask that guests keep noise to a minimum especially at night.
Should the Hirer cancel the booking, the Company will endeavour to re-let the vehicle and, if successful, the amount paid will be refunded less an administration charge. If the Company is unable to do so, the Hirer will be liable to pay the administration charge plus costs on a scale proportionate to the length of time before the hire commences, as set out below :-
Exceeding 56 days from hire date 40% of Hire fee
Between 55 days and 42 days 60% of Hire fee
Between 41 days and 28 days 80% of Hire fee
Less than 28 days from hire date Loss of Hire fee
Hirers are advised to obtain their own insurance cover to safeguard against such losses.
Shaftesbury Luxury Lodges neither insure nor accept liability for any accident, incident, damage or loss to property or persons including third party liability in connection with the hire of any Lodge.
