Melbury Lodge a stunning, Luxury 3 bedroom Lodge which has just been commissioned for this summer (2017). It is located within our Lodge Park in the foothills of the Saxon Hilltop Town of Shaftesbury and is set within beautiful countryside overlooking the green space and adjacent to Meadow and Lakeside walks with a variety of wildlife including Ducklings, Canada Geese, Swans, Deer and much more.
For the more active guest, there is also a large gym on-site, or simply take-in the lovely scenery with a relaxing walk around the meadow and lake paths.
Melbury Lodge offers TVs in all main rooms including bedrooms, wifi internet access and two beautiful bathrooms with showers. The kitchen is well-appointed with American Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, Washer/Dyer, Range Cooker – everything you could possibly need.
There is also a very large sundeck with new rattan sofas and table for alfresco dining, plus a barbecue.
The accommodation configuration can be versatile – for example: one double ensuite and two twin rooms, or two double rooms and one twin room. (just let us know your preferred configuration at the time of booking).
Melbury Lodge has its own private driveway for your personal parking. Additional parking is available.
Complimentary use of our on-site Fitness Suite is included. We also have a small Shop for basic provisions.
Hardy’s Lodge is fully Double Glazed and Centrally Heated throughout – very cosy and warm even during the colder months. The Lodges are available for short breaks, seven day breaks or longer. Check-in days are flexible and special requests are catered for where possible.
The Park is nestled in a quiet, countryside location, surrounded by the picturesque Dorset hills and hedgerows. It provides the perfect escape for you to unwind whilst the bustling, Medieval Market Town of Shaftesbury is just 2 miles away with it’s great cafes, restaurants and pubs. Our Park is an ideal base from which to explore this stunning region.
Close to the borders of Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset there are many places to explore. Some of the closest (and most famous) being Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, Longleat Safari Park, Stourhead, Stonehenge, and King Alfred’s Tower. Other attractions such as Glastonbury Tor, Monkey World, Salisbury, Bath, Bournemouth and the Jurassic Coast are all approximately an hour’s drive away.
